Since 2019, only reusable cups have been used at Hanse Sail. The cups and logistics are provided by the service provider Cup&more. In 2025, 80,000 branded cups were put into circulation. In total, 115,000 reusable cups were used throughout the entire Hanse Sail. During the event, the cups were exchanged once, washed in Bad Segeberg, and refilled with cups without logos. Both 0.3 L and 0.4 L cups were used. On occasion, the cups are also washed by the stand operators themselves. The cups can be returned at any beverage stand.

Reusable cups have become indispensable at Hanse Sail. A total of 115,000 reusable cups were used in 2025, both branded and unbranded cups. The cup designs are regularly reviewed, and for the coming years a city cup is being considered to allow for broader use.
